Taka Grille has set out to revamp popular Asian cuisine beyond the usual tired menu choices. By offering an innovative, high-quality, creative menu, both for catering and in-house dining services, Taka Grille allows for the ultimate expressions of culinary freedom, sophistication and design. Our chefs believe in the philosophy of keeping flavors distinct, playing on the freshness of each ingredient.
     
Company Background
 
Taka Grille is a quick-service pan-Asian chain restaurant, a trend-setting Asian food products company that has pioneered numerous original recipes and culinary innovations. Taka Grille is the first chain restaurant opened at Tyson’s Corner Center new expansion food court eatery. The Grille offers a range of Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai and Korean specialty dishes, made with only the finest ingredients and the strictest devotion to quality. Taka Grille is a member of the National Restaurant Association and the Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association.
 
     
Management Team
 
 

Cybil Louie is Founder, President, CEO and executive chef with the Taka Grille. With over 20 years of experience in the food industry, Chef Louie specializes in pan-Asian cuisine. She currently manages eight sushi bars in Balduccis’ (formerly Sutton Place Gourmet) gourmet food markets in New York, Connecticut and Washington metropolitan area. Chef Louie has also owned various Asian cuisine restaurants, aside from working extensively as a consultant on Asian food. She has studied at the Dickson Catering Institute, Hong Kong, and has undergone extensive culinary training under star Chef Joseph Poon, owner of the popular Joseph Poon Fusion Restaurant in Philadelphia.

Edmond Louie serves as Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Taka Grille. A graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse with a BS in Business and Administration, Edmond has owned a Magic Gourd Restaurant in Washington, D.C., and a Chopstick Express and Chopstick Café in Springfield, VA.

 
Irving H. Berman serves as the company real estate consultant. A native Washingtonian who has been engaged in the commercial and investment real estate business his entire career. Education includes a degree in accounting and advanced course work in real estate appraisal, law, financing, land planning, and property management at the American University in Washington, D.C.
